Warm
arm smiles

It is difficult for a child who is cold to smile.
Give a child a reason to smile with your donation to Warm the Children.
In Auburn and surrounding communities there are children who need warm clothing.
JUST WHAT IS WARM THE CHILDREN PROGRAM?
Warm The Children is neighbors helping neighbors. The Cayuga-Seneca Community Action Agency,
The Auburn Rotary, and The Citizen are asking readers to donate to the fund, and the proceeds will
be used to buy new warm winter clothing and footwear for needy area children. There are no administrative fees; all donated money is used to buy warm winter wear.
HOW ARE NEEDY FAMILIES IDENTIFIED?
Area public elementary and middle school staffers, plus staff at local social service agencies (like
Head Start and Family Advocacy Programs) identify families and pass on contact information to the
Warm The Children coordinator.
HOW WILL THE CHILDREN'S CLOTHING BE PURCHASED?
The Warm The Children coordinator assigns families to volunteer shoppers who meet their families
and assist in selecting clothing and footwear for each child. No money changes hands.
