SENECA FALLS - Jennie A. "Jennie" Grabbatin, 87, formerly of Savannah and Seneca Falls, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at DeMay Living Center, Newark.
Jennie was born in Seneca Falls on May 15, 1917, the daughter of the late Francesco and Amelia DeBello Perrotto. She had resided with her son, Tom in Savannah, since 1999, moving there from Seneca Falls. She was retired from the former Seneca Knitting Mills of Seneca Falls. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls.
She is survived by two sons, Charles (Debra) Grabbatin of Columbia, S.C, and Thomas (Sissy) Grabbatin of Savannah; four grandchildren, Frank J. (Reta), Tammy Lee, Brian and Christopher Grabbatin; four sisters, Rose DeParde of Florida, Edith Alongi of Auburn, Rosalia (Richard) Woods of Colorado, and Theresa Pasqualicchio of Seneca Falls; three brothers, Paul Perrotto and Frank Perrotto, both of Waterloo, and Anthony Perrotto of Seneca Falls; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Philomena Marsh, Amelia Passalacqua and Anna Perrotto; and one brother, August Perrotto.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at the Doran Funeral Home Inc., 4 Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at the funeral home, and at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. William Laird, pastor. Spring burial will be in St. Columbkill Cemetery, Seneca Falls.
