I'd like to give Murray Lynch credit for the excellent way he answers his critics and for his moral convictions. He has a wonderful way of communicating his messages.
It seems that the ugly head of bossism has resurfaced in that Democratic Party Boss Lacey will have it her way or no way. What we need is another political party.

What's going on with Logan Street condos? He got the free money to make money but I don't see any progress at the site.

Michael Bass, keep walking. Maybe by election day you'll be back in St. Lawrence.

Every job I worked, management made the rules of work. But Auburn fire union tells management the rules and so goes our taxes.

Congratulations, I see Southern Cayuga Central School has done it again, every other school in the area, not just in the county, was in last Monday's paper with its fall sports schedule but SC was significant in its absence.

The problem with our schools is they make our children learn Spanish instead of making Spanish children learn English.

Come on veterans, let's all contribute to get this new veterans' memorial park finished.

" I thought the purpose of being able to comment on this page as well as articles throughout the website is so people can express their opinions and have a "discussion" with others about the different opinions. If that is the case, then why are all the posts missing from this page and from the article where the heroes on the porch got arrested? Are only a select few allowed to "voice" their opinion on this website? "Auburnpub.com encourages readers to offer opinions on our local stories. We will never edit or alter your comments, but we do reserve the right to not post or to remove comments that violate our code of conduct. For this reason, comments are first reviewed and may not be posted immediately, especially during overnight hours." If those posts were so offensive, then why were they posted in the first place? Did some cry baby come along and say that we might hurt those heroes' feelings? "

" Gloria maybe you missed my comment to your letter to the editor but I say if you don't like the condition of the Y field then get off your butt and organize a neighborhood clean up. You could rake, clean up, remove weeds, put some paint where needed. If materials are needed ask Lowes or Home Depot to supply it as a donation. If equipment is needed such as swings and slides have a fundraiser and get volunteers to install it. Don't just whine at the city to do something. City budgets are tight just like yours is. Increases in fuel cost, health care costs and utilities make it hard for the city to keep a budget reasonable and taxpayers have had enough of higher taxes. Ask not what your city can do for you but what you can do for your city and your neighborhood. "

Tennis Court Trash was over-flowing This is the BEST AUBURN can do? We need Help FAST! Sorry, I won't take the kids back anytime soon. "

" Hey chiggybaby, you don't use the language so well yourself. The only language I remember being made to take was Latin, do they still require that here in Auburn? After that I had a choice, Spanish was not mandatory. It would benefit everyone to learn a second language, the problem is they start teaching the languages so late in school that, unless you are really into it you don't stand a chance. I don't know anyone who after four years of Spanish in high school can actually carry on a fluent conversation. It's a shame really. Anyway, if you want your cheap products and your global economy you'd better make sure your kids know a couple languages. Chinese should be mandatory, lol. "

chippy wrote on Sep 25, 2007 11:52 AM:

" Yeah the comment about getting rid of the Genesee Beer sign is ridiculous!! That is a landmark with historical significance, just like the Tiffany glass in Willard Chapel, and the first electric chair used at our prison! What does the electric chair say about Auburn's values?? but it is a piece of history just like the beer sign. Please let's not take everything that once made this city great away. "
