Auburn's Scollan remains undefeated

Delaney Scollan remained undefeated for the season, winning second singles 6-0, 6-0 as the Auburn girls tennis team defeated Rome Free Academy 7-0 on Monday.
Claire Minnoe won in first singles 6-4, 6-1 and Hailey Roth won 6-4, 6-1 in third singles.

Emily Mastropietro and Katie Searing won in first doubles 6-4, 6-4, Palak Patel and Aiswarya Irri won second doubles 6-3, 6-4, Kara Mariano and Amy Farinelli won in third doubles 6-0, 6-1 and Jamie Bruno and Sam Bruno won in fourth doubles 6-0, 6-2.

In exhibition matches, Christina Simmons won in fourth singles 10-2 while Liz Vanacore and Lauren Blair won in doubles play 10-6.

The Maroons (6-1) travel to play Cicero-North Syracuse Wednesday.

FIELD HOCKEY

Rome Free Academy 2, Auburn 1

Sarah Reece had 14 saves for the Maroons.

Auburn travels to play Liverpool Wednesday.

Southern Springs 5, Port Byron 2

Molly Clifford scored two goals and had one assist for Southern Springs who was also led by Elizabeth Rollo (one goal, one assist), Lauren Morabito (one goal), Stephanie Myers (one goal) and Sara Spencer (one assist).

Port Byron's goals were scored by Kara Pitcher and Allison Short.

BOYS SOCCER

Bishop Grimes 5, Cato-Meridian 0

Randy Hoyt finished with eight saves for the Blue Devils.

In a game Saturday, Cato-Meridian defeated Pulaski 6-2 behind the play of Kevin Mack (two goals), Brandon Rubadou (three goals, one assist), Rosalio Rojo (one goal, three assists) and Ivan Rojo (two assists).

The Blue Devils are now 3-6 overall and 2-3 in league.

GIRLS SOCCER

Dryden 2, Union Springs 1

Amanda Cuff scored for Union Springs and Deven Gary had fives saves in goal.

The Wolves (6-3, 4-0) host Watkins Glen Wednesday.

BOYS GOLF

Auburn 199, Oswego 223

Ryan May led the Maroons with a 36, Bob Dushatinski shot a 40, Sean Hogan carded a 41, Frank Murtari shot a 41, James Cutillo had a 41 and Tim Daniels finished with a 42.

Auburn (10-2) host Cicero-North Syracuse Wednesday.
