A Monroe County man may have to receive mental-health treatment before his case can continue in Cayuga County Court after he pleaded not guilty Thursday to possession of stolen property.
Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann said Nicholas Greene, 21, of 1 Pleasant St., Chili, will take a mental health evaluation because psychologists deemed Greene mentally unable to comprehend his surroundings.

Green will have to receive treatment and be able to comprehend his case before he can go back to court.

Greene, who has refused to take any medication, could be enrolled into long term mental health treatment if his situation does not improve enough to allow the case to continue.
