Auburn residents who attend Thursday's city council meeting will have a chance to talk about a city budget that has remained unchanged since first proposed by the city manager a month ago.
The city's proposed budget for the 2008-2009 fiscal year has not received any concrete revisions or amendments since its release at the beginning of May, according to Auburn City Manager Mark Palesh. In addition, Palesh said Wednesday he does not expect any major changes before the council vote scheduled for June 12.

A public hearing on the spending plan is part of the council's agenda for the Thursday meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. and will be held at Auburn Memorial City Hall on South Street.

Members of council will also have a chance to further discuss the budget in what will be the final work session concerning the proposal.

The $47 million budget makes no changes in city taxes, sewer rates and water rates.
