County nursing home care was attentive, professional

Friday, June 13, 2008 11:47 PM EDT

My elderly sister of 86 recently spent about three weeks as a patient at Cayuga County Nursing Home. As we grew up, a previous facility at this location used to be referred to as the "poor house." This is no longer true. She was provided with excellent care --- exemplary professionalism and humanness.
I was able to spend her last few hours with her. The staff was very attentive to her and also to me.

I want to thank the social workers for the help and the many hours they spent with me. It was greatly appreciated.

" Karl--what is boring about the end of a human life? What is boring about dispelling the myth that the county nursing home is a wasteland? Pat, I am glad you had a good experience with the care. Karl-go whine somewhere else. "
