ROCHESTER - Police are investigating a two-car crash on a suburban Rochester highway that injured a trooper and another man. State police say the trooper was southbound on Interstate 390 early Thursday morning when his cruiser slammed into the back of a car that had stopped in the center lane. The impact overturned the first car.
Authorities say the two men, whose names weren't released, were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police say the trooper tried to avoid the other car but struck its right rear corner.
