The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Sunday afternoon and evening that covers most of the region, including Cayuga County.
A cold front is moving through that will produce locally heavy rainfall, with totals averaging 1 to 1.5 inches by Sunday night. Heavier amounts are possible in isolated areas. Minor flooding is also possible.
Some spots will also see strong thunderstorms, which could produce strong wind gusts. Storms should reach the Finger Lakes region after 2 p.m.
