Nationals defeat Penn Yan in second All-Star game

The Auburn Nationals pounded out 17 hits to defeat Penn Yan, 12-2 in the District 5, Pony League All-Stars Sunday. Stephen Bennett cracked a home run, while Patrick LaDouce earned three hits and three RBIs to pace the offense.
Michael Biata also roped three RBIs on three hits, Joe Dyson brought in one run one three hits and Nick Adams belted two RBIs and a double.

Anthony Torres hit twice, while Ben Pinchak, Austin Duger, Paulie Clark and Kenny Sargent each had one hit, while the defense didn't commit an error.

On Saturday, the Nationals defeated Geneva Red, 12-1. Auburn earned nine hits in the win -- two by Torres and Adams. Dyson and Biata brought in two runs each on a double.

LaDouce had one hit and one RBI, Alex Burgmaster and Clark each had one hit. Defensively, LaDouce played well behind the plate, cutting down two runners on base. Ben Pinchak and Burgmaster also played well defensively, leading an errorless performance.

Matthew Fritz turned a double play with Zachary Stanton to end the game for the Orioles. 

Hunter Duger added six outs and Gregory Baumes added three. 

Kaleb Fasce, Clay Van Ostrand, Dakota Lupien, Emma Donovan and Daniel Cornelius all had RBIs to pace the offense.

The Brewers were led by Ryan Treat, Hannah Kalabanka and Nick Hyde, each with three hits. 

Tyler Cook, Nathan Hyde and Olivia Morgan each added two hits.
