Michael McDade led the Auburn Doubledays to a 12-7 win over Hudson Valley Wednesday night.
McDade led the offense with four RBIs off three hits including a double.

Marcus Walden started for Auburn but lasted only two innings. He allowed four hits and seven runs, five earned, while walking four.

The Renegades jumped out to a four-run lead in the first inning after leadoff man Robi Estrada and Anthony Scelfo both drew walks.

Jason Tweedy recorded the first out on a strikeout and then Hudson Valley struck first on a throwing error by Robert Sobolewski. Estrada scored off of the error and the Doubledays defensive woes continued as they recorded two errors in the win.

The Doubledays fought back in the top of the second to take the lead 4-2, but allowed Hudson Valley to score three runs. But that would be all the Renegades would score as the Doubledays bullpen tossed seven shutout innings.

Dan O'Brien earned the win in relief as he went two innings, giving up two hits, walking one and picking up one strikeout. Evan Crawford did his share of work, tossing 3 1-3 innings, giving up just one hit while Matt Daly earned the save.

The Doubledays offense was led by McDade and Amar with three hits.

Auburn (16-12) takes on Hudson Valley in game two of the series, today.
