The Owasco Town Board on Tuesday decided to take no action in the status of its highway superintendent, accused by New York State Police of falsifying a time sheet.
Town highway superintendent Michael L. Wilson is accused of submitting a falsified time sheet for another town employee in July 2006.

The board issued this written statement after conferring in executive session for about 90 minutes Tuesday.

"The Town Board has reviewed all of its legal options. In view of the fact that this situation was addressed in 2006 to the satisfaction of the then Town Board, therefore this town Board believes that no action is necessary at this time, and we choose to let the judicial process take its course."

Wilson was charged with one felony count of first-degree for offering a false instrument for filing and a misdemeanor count of second-degree falsifying business records, according to state police.

Last August, the state comptroller's office and state police investigators reviewed government files in the Town of Owasco. The investigation is ongoing.

" get this...there is an unspoken & ongoing peeing contest between the town & Sherriff (former NYS Po-Po). Owasco (taxpayers) NOT paying them additional money to enforce law in the town (paying for overtime). Town says not necessary. well, with this "new sherriff in town" & his buddy's still working for the NYSP, what did you think would happen? it is the mentality of corrupt law enforcement. the only RAT is and will be (until the election or sooner) former NYSP & current big cheeze. this is the second time he has gone behind the scenes to undermine folks. wait until the Langler case hits the news. remember that one? you soon will. this all sounds pretty crazy, huh? quite a stretch, huh? stand by folks, this is going to get real interesting. just remember, it takes time for due process:):) "

" Stupid...hhhmmmmm A CRIME has been committed and you say its stupid and lets move on....hmmm If I owned a business and an employee filed a time card for another who was on vacation, would I fire him, if not them? Lets see here...no work no pay... or is it no work, pay and my profit shrinks because someone else has to do the work. Yeh thats it, and if everybody did it then I would pay everyone for not working and my business would cease to exist. Yes that's the mentality of this town! WAKE UP AMERICA! "

" This seems really stupid, could it have been a mistake? Sure it could. There is possibly a rat working for him that wanted his job. I say go out and focus on real crime, this is stupid... "
