ORCHARD PARK - A suburban Buffalo air cargo company that paid $28 million in fines for over-billing the military says it is resuming its work with the U.S. government.
National Air Cargo said Monday that the Air Force has lifted a temporary suspension, and that the company has resumed full operations under a new president and chief executive, Stephen Morris.
Owner Christopher Alf no longer has any role in operations.
Under a corporate plea deal in October, Orchard Park-based NAC agreed to pay $28 million in fines, forfeitures and restitution after being accused of overcharging for military shipments from 1999 to 2005. In recent years, much of the business has involved carrying supplies within Iraq and Afghanistan.
