On the evening of July 22 (at 9 p.m. and still light out), a dark-colored vehicle hit my dog and never stopped. This person never even applied their brakes, they simply hit a 70-pound white dog on West Lake Road in the Town of Fleming.
You have to know who you are because when you hit the dog, the sound could be heard over 100 feet away and the dog lay lifeless in the road. The reason the dog was “#free” is because we were on our dock and he saw our company pull into our driveway (West Lake Road is between our lakeside and our home), he got excited and before we could get his leash on, he ran to meet them. Unfortunately, he didn't stop to wait for a passing car.
But he's only a dog, why didn't the human stop to see what they had done. Suppose it had been a child in the road? I hope this never happens to you, but if it does, you better hope the driver isn't like you.
If anyone can provide us with more information, call 253-7884.

I live on 38a and have seen countless dogs killed and many tears from family members. People do not learn. I have a neighbor who has lost 3 dogs and still believes that they should run free.
The animal does not know better but the owners should. As I mentioned I do feel sorry for their loss but it could have been avoided. "

I would wager that you have a hard time finding compassion for anyone except, say, scumbags and thugs who get get denied parole? "

Does that mean your momma was a pompous, arrogant piece of fecal matter that thought she knew everything?
I have a hard time finding compassion for those whose loss could have been avoided if they just did what they were supposed to. If these people loved their pet, they would have done the right thing to keep it safe.
If they really need to find someone to blame for the loss of their precious pet, I suggest they go look in a mirror! "

Then again, I guess I shouldn't expect a heartless coward like yourself--who doesn't even have the cajones to use a name here--to realize that.
I'm sure your mother would be real proud of the compassion you've shown here--then again, maybe you take after her--kids learn their behaviors from their parents ya know!
Be ashamed. Be very ashamed! "

A dog is a member of the family no different than a brother or sister.
What a heartless individual!
