Don't want to pick up leaves? Plant evergreens

According to an article in the paper, there is a controversy about whether the city should continue to pick up leaves.

Let me put it this way. The city has planted the trees over the years - knowing full well that they would produce leaves. If you don't want to pick them up in the fall, then start planting evergreens!
