BUFFALO - Three former employees of a federal detention center have pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of stealing prescription drugs.
The U.S. Attorney's office in Buffalo says pharmacist Richard Lawson and pharmacy technician Lisa Schwab admit they gave some medication to co-workers at the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility in Batavia and kept some for themselves. Former guard Leonard Iannello admitted receiving drugs, including prescription-strength ibuprofen.
Lawson, Schwab and Iannello each pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of theft of government property. Each faces up to a year in prison and a fine.
