The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office is looking for two suspects who stole cigarettes, beer and a safe from two Fleming businesses more than a week ago, deputies said.
Deputies said a man first broke into the Pit Stop convenience store at 12:30 a.m. on April 6 and returned again two hours later with another individual. The suspects stole several cartons of Marlboro and Old Gold cigarettes and an unknown amount of beer.

Deputies said they also believe the suspects are responsible for the burglary of E&V Energy Corp. located next door to the Pit Stop on Route 34, which occurred that same night. In that burglary, the suspects are accused of stealing a safe full of cash and documents.

The Pit Stop did not have an alarm and the burglaries were not discovered until employees showed up for work later that morning, deputies said.

The sheriff's office also released a security camera image of one suspect.

Deputies urge anyone with information regarding the two burglaries to call detectives at 252-1610
