SYRACUSE -- Police are accusing a 22-year-old Syracuse man of hanging a four-month-old kitten and making a video of the animal struggling.
Joanne Cichy told police she couldn't find her kitten when she returned home Halloween night after going trick-or-treating with her children. The next day she found a video on her digital camera showing the kitten hanging from the apartment door with a belt around its neck.
Police said the video showed the kitten struggling before going motionless and Cichy's live-in boyfriend, Rascell Williams, stepping in and out of the video.
Williams was charged with unjustifiable animal cruelty, a misdemeanor. Police did not know if he has an attorney.
The injured kitten was later found, alive, under the porch.

This is not blind rage without rational.
It is rage, yes... for the irrational way that it has been allowed to occur and continue to occur. "

As far as Michael Vick, he did serve time in prison, paid some fines and promised to help the Humane Society with influencing young men not to get pit bulls and not to participate in or view dog fighting. I haven't heard anything about Vick doing any Community Service for the Humane Society, but after he gets playing again and gets a paycheck he will have NO excuse not to be an advocate for the evils of dog fighting when he's not on the football field. If he doesn't do what he promised, then he can go back to prison for a few more years to think about the dogs he killed.
(Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah has some of the pit bulls taken from Vick's place, and a few of them were able to be retrained and are now adopted and in permanent loving homes). "

This is one twisted freak. I am not a cat lover by any means, but I still feel sorry for seeing one dead in the road. Its a sad commentary on our disintegrating society "

It just seems like you hear more and more of these stories about people doing mentally sick things like this? WHY? Society as a whole didn't have this many sick and twisted people 20 years ago... 30 years ago. What has changed?
In my own opinion... we now allow these things to happen and turn a blind eye. The laws don't stand up to the perpetrators... so it continues to happen.
Michael Vick.. perfect example. HORRID, SICK crimes. What did "society" do? Welcomed him back to the NFL and made him a millionaire all over again. A slap on the hand and now, acceptance, followed by glorification.
He should have been locked up. Many of those dogs didn't get a second chance.. why did he?
And what did the rest of the people with these same tendencies learn? "
