Portico by Fabio Viviani, a restaurant within del Lago Resort & Casino in Seneca County, has been honored by a prominent dining website.
The restaurant received OpenTable's Diners' Choice Award. The award is given based on feedback from diners who booked reservations through OpenTable's app and website.
TYRE — This isn't Fabio Viviani's first restaurant. It likely won't be his last.
The honor comes less than two months after Portico opened inside del Lago. The restaurant bears the name of Viviani, a celebrity chef who starred on Bravo's "Top Chef."
"To receive this recognition so early after opening is fantastic, and I'm just so happy that our guests are enjoying themselves at Portico," Viviani said. "It means a lot to me that this comes directly from the people sitting at our tables, eating our meals and enjoying the scene here. This award comes right from the table, and I'm proud of what we've done so far, with much, much more to come."
The 210-seat Portico by Fabio Viviani began serving dinner Feb. 23. The restaurant unveiled its lunch menu April 1.
Portico's menu features an array of appetizers and entrees. The dinner menu is highlighted by a whole roasted semi-boneless chicken, which Viviani said is one of the best dishes he's ever had. The restaurant also offers several pasta dishes and dry-aged steaks.
For lunch, the restaurant serves some of the same dishes and others, including a caprese sandwich, dry-aged New York steak sandwich and a truffle burger.
So far, Portico's ratings have been positive. The restaurant has a four-star rating on Yelp and a 4.3 score on OpenTable. On Facebook, the overall user rating is 4.7 out of 5 stars.
Jeff Babinski, executive vice president and general manager of del Lago Resort & Casino, lauded Viviani and his staff for earning the OpenTable honor.
"This award is a testament to the planning, preparation and professionalism of Fabio and our entire Portico team," Babinski said. "We set out to hit the ground running with all our features at del Lago, from the gaming room floor to the dining room table. The reviews continue to be overwhelmingly positive, and this award is the result."
