There are many upcoming programs available to girls throughout the summer. Some of them include:

Horse Day Camp, July 15-19 in Macedon: Open to Girl Scouts in grades K-10. Girls will spend the mornings with the horses of Thunder Hill Stables experiencing everything from general horse care, grooming, bathing and handling to getting to ride the horses. This week-long day camp is great for beginners or experienced riders. The cost to attend is $214 per girl, and the registration deadline is June 21.

Kayak on the Cayuga-Seneca Canal, July 20: Open to Girl Scouts in grades six-12. Girls will spend an afternoon paddling along the Cayuga-Seneca Canal and viewing wildlife, such as turtles, snakes, frogs, blue herons, ducks, geese, minks, beavers and more. Girls will also have the opportunity to try various other human-powered watercraft. The cost to attend is $22 per girl and the registration deadline is July 2.

Mountaintop Mass on Mount Jo, Aug. 11 in Lake Placid: Open to Girl Scouts in grades K-12 and adults. Participants will take part in a relatively easy three-mile round-trip hike, which takes them up to an open summit and several overlooks with great views of a lake and the high peaks. There is no cost to attend.

New Girl Scout members are welcome to attend any of these activities by paying the $12 Girl Scout registration fee and then the program fee for each of the programs. Financial assistance is available.
