Art in the Park, the Finger Lakes Arts Council's annual fall outdoor art show, returns to Hoopes Park Saturday, Sept. 16, with more than 40 vendors, food trucks, a book release and more.
The fifth annual event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park, Genesee Street and Herman Avenue, Auburn. The array of creators will be complemented by the second annual Jake Harding Memorial Plein Air Paint Out, in which people can set up at the park and paint a piece to be judged, exhibited and sold at the park pavilion. The event honors Harding, a member of the Finger Lakes Arts Council who passed away in November 2015.

The event will also feature food trucks, children's activities, music by Allison & Zoe and Honky Tonk Hindooz, and the release of Finger Lakes Arts Council founder Sue Waby's second book, "Downtown Ducks." Continuing the adventures of Hoopes Park's ducklings in downtown Auburn, the book will be for sale in limited supply and Waby will sign copies.
