A haunted mansion, a zombie outbreak and more highlight the Halloween events in the Cayuga County area this season. Here's what's going on:

🎃 Fright Night Mansion

WHAT: A.P.E. Productions' 30th anniversary haunted house 

WHEN: Open 6 to 10 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 19-21 and 26-28, and for children's matinees from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 21 and 28

🎃 Nightmare on Anna St.

WHAT: Annual neighborhood haunted house featuring a Pepper's ghost illusion, a custom pipe organ replica played by the Phantom of the Opera, a spooky forest and a mad surgeon. Spider cider and eyeball doughnut holes served.

🎃 "Mourning or Macabre? Victorian Death Rites"

WHAT: Director of Collections Matt Mac Vittie presents a talk on how the Victorian generation posed for photographs with the dead and kept physical mementos from them, as well as their funereal rites that may strike modern observers as dark and morbid
