Wells College in Aurora got a high-profile shout-out from "Today Show" host Hoda Kotb on the NBC morning show's Jan. 11 edition.

Wells staff visited the show's New York City set Wednesday while in the city for an alumni networking event. Kotb then approached the staff and recorded her shout-out, Wells said in a news release.

"Hey, Wells College! I'm wearing red for you!" she said to cheers, acknowledging the college's official colors and tradition of wearing red on Wednesdays. She continued by saying, "We love you at the 'Today Show.'"

It's the second year that Wells has appeared on the program.

Representing the Aurora college were Vice President for Enrollment Services Kishan Zuber, Dean of Students Jenn Michael, Director of Annual Giving Pam Sheradin (’86), Major Gift Officer Matt Sleezer (’13), and Coordinator for Alumni Relations Kelly Brown.
