JORDAN | James E. Waby, 69, of Jordan, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, in VanDuyn Home & Hospital following a long illness.

Born in Auburn, Jim lived in Jordan for the past 40 years. He was a graduate of Auburn West High School and he retired from the Auburn Correctional Facility where he was a general foreman in the plating department.

Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to when he was honorably discharged in 1965. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved the outdoors especially when he was boating and camping.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Bridgie Crofut; son, James E. Waby Jr. of Skaneateles Falls, daughter, Jennifer Waby (Stephen Myrto), of Jordan; grandson, James Myrto; two sisters, Barbara Burns and Beverly Morrison, both of Auburn; nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012,at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St., Elbridge. Service to follow at 6 p.m.
