Timothy Preston, of Syracuse, and Richard Smith, of Cortland, escaped uninjured after rolling their vehicle over into a ditch along a wind-whipped snow-covered stretch of Rt. 34 in Fleming Tuesday.
The two were traveling northbound when Preston lost control and slid off the road onto the vehicles driver side. Smith was able to exit the vehicle on his own while Preston was trapped, too large to fit through the passenger side window, and had to be extricated by Fleming firefighters.
