The Syracuse men's basketball team didn't help its postseason chances Thursday night.
The Orange found themselves on the wrong end of a 108-69 blowout against DePaul, a team that's only 12-14 overall and is in 14th in the expanded Big East. It's Syracuse's first loss to an unranked opponent in three seasons.
The Blue Demons shot a bloated 62 percent from the field, including 16-for-28 from behind the arc.
Senior Gerry McNamara led the Orange with 21 points on 8-for-16 shooting while Eric Devendorf chipped in with 15.
Syracuse (19-10) hosts No. 4-ranked Villanova in the regular season finale on Sunday. The Carrier Dome has already been sold out in anticipation of McNamara's final home game. With the loss to DePaul, the Orange may need a win Sunday to have any chance of earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
