The Finger Lakes Museum has received a grant from the Outdoor Foundation to provide canoeing and kayaking opportunities, the organizations announced recently.

The grant, received in March, allows the museum to provide 20 boats for free paddling programs at the Sugar Creek bridge and the boat launch in Branchport. The programs, which started last weekend, will take place on 10 consecutive Sunday afternoons, from 3 to 6 p.m.

Paddles and life vests are available. Participants are welcome to bring fishing rods, with licenses, nets, and picnic meals.

For more information, contact Mike Sullivan, museum director, at (315) 694-6922, or at msullivan@fingerlakesmuseum.org.
