An Auburn man was charged Wednesday with stealing several items from a city home, the Auburn Police Department said.
Brent L. Tanner Sr., 30, 7 Grover St., Apt. B, was picked up on a warrant and charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree conspiracy, both class F felonies, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
APD said Tanner stole a flat-screen TV and other items from a home on Wall Street in Auburn around midnight on Sept. 21.
Tanner was picked up by police in Syracuse at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday morning. Police did not know why he was picked up in Syracuse, but an arrest warrant for Tanner was signed on Oct. 24 and the APD received the warrant Tuesday.
Tanner was arraigned at Auburn City Court Wednesday morning and was remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond.
Police said that Tanner was charged with conspiracy because he planned the burglary with another person.
