An Auburn man was charged with a felony after he allegedly threw a chair at a woman and allegedly pushed her to the ground during a New Year's Eve domestic incident.
Tysen Matheson, 34, of North Hoopes Avenue was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a child and obstructing governmental administration, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Police said Matheson allegedly grabbed the woman by the back of her neck and pushed her to the floor after throwing a chair at her while children were present. The children were unharmed. The woman was transported to Auburn Community Hospital with arm and elbow injuries, according to police.
Police said Matheson allegedly struggled with officers at the time of the arrest.
Matheson was arraigned and remanded to Cayuga County Jail with no bail.
