A 23-year-old Auburn man was recently arrested by the Auburn Police Department and accused of raping a child.

According to a press statement released Thursday afternoon, Jamie Seasar Rosado, of 5981 Bluefield Road, was arrested and charged with second-degree rape, a violent felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

The APD said an investigation revealed Rosado had sexual intercourse with a female aged less than 15 years old.

The department encouraged anyone with information regarding the alleged rape to call Detective Chris McLoughlin at 255-4706. Anonymous tips are welcomed.
