An Auburn man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he ran a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Police responded to an accident at about 6:20 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Clymer and Garrow streets in Auburn.
Police said 29-year-old Charles H. Patros, of 104 Hamilton Ave., was driving at a high rate of speed on Garrow Street and failed to stop at a stop sign, striking another vehicle that was heading eastbound on Clymer Street.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 66-year-old woman who authorities did not identify, was taken to Auburn Community Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to the Auburn Fire Department.
Patros was charged with aggravated DWI and reckless driving, both misdemeanors, as well as speed and stop sign violations. Police said Patros was processed and released to a third party and is to be arraigned Thursday, Sept. 26, in Auburn City Court.
