The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office recently welcomed a new patrol boat into its fleet.

According to a statement released Monday, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation's Marine Services division granted the sheriff's office a 21-foot-long Boston Whaler patrol boat equipped with a marine radar system and a tow rig.

The 2012 Boston Whaler replaced a 1972 Boston Whaler that was recently taken out of service due to electrical issues.
