The New York State Fairgrounds in Geddes will be hosting several events this weekend, including an annual Irish dancing competition.
The Central New York Irish Feis will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Horticulture Building. The event will feature 1,000 dancers competing in a variety of styles. Musicians will also be competing. The event is free and open to the public.
The fair will also host the Camping World RV Show and Sale from Thursday to Sunday. Admission is free for the event, which will feature nearly 250 RVs.
Other events on the schedule this weekend:
- The SkillsUSA state conference will be held today through Friday at several buildings on the fairgrounds, including the Center of Progress building.
- The Syracuse Chapter of the Professional Horseman's Association will hold the Syracuse PHA Horse Show from Thursday to Sunday. Competitions will begin at 9 a.m. every day. More than 300 horses and riders will be competing. Admission is free.
- "Suds: The Rocking 60's Musical" will continue with performances at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. The performances will be held at the Empire Theater. Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and students.
