An open gym event at Ireland's Gymnastics Center in Auburn will benefit the parent of 2-year-old Averyana Dale, who died Saturday night in a house fire.
Kate Brahney, the gym's owner, said she hoped to lift some of the financial burden from longtime friends Natalie and Avery Dale, the child's parents.
"I know that this will not take away the pain her or Avery are feeling right now, but I hope it will help to limit any stress financially," Brahney said.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 16. The $5 per child admission price will go to the Dales.
Ireland's Gymnastics Center is located at 2121 W. Genesee St. behind Leader's Fitness Center in Auburn.
