Home Instead Senior Care is seeking the community's help to bring cheer to the county's senior citizens during the 2013 holiday season.

The local organization, teaming up with the Cayuga County Office of Aging, is asking residents to participate in the Be a Santa to a Senior program. The program encourages participants to pick an ornament bearing a senior's name and requested gifts off a Christmas tree, purchase an item and return the unwrapped gift — with the ornament attached — to a participating location.

From Nov. 15 to Dec. 16, gift trees and wreaths will be set up in the Phoenix Building's lobby, 2 South St., Auburn; at Wild for Yogurt, 100, Genesee St., Auburn; and Riester's Appliances, 1533 Clark Street Road, Auburn.
