Police arrested an Auburn man Thursday morning for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in the arm during a domestic dispute.
According to the Auburn Police Department, one of James Raymond's neighbors called police at midnight after hearing his girlfriend scream. Police kicked down the door of Raymond's 100 Clark St. home and eventually took the struggling 54-year-old man into custody.
Police said emergency responders took the injured woman to Auburn Community Hospital, where she was treated and released.
Raymond was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies, along with unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest. He was remanded into the custody of the Cayuga County Jail following his arraignment.
