Town of Scipio residents can take part in a clean up day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Scipio Transfer Station, Route 34 and Quarry Road, Scipio.

Household trash can be bagged and tagged as usual. Special bins will be available for items too large to be bagged. Refrigerators, freezers, mattresses, tires, batteries, electronic equipment and excessive construction debris will not be accepted.

Sign-in is required upon arrival.

The town will also hold a rabies vaccination clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Scipio highway garage, 3707 Route 34, Scipio.

Participants should bring their animals' most recent rabies certificates. Cats should be brought in carriers.

A donation of $5 per animal is requested.
