The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office has lifted the travel ban — the "roads closed except for essential travel" order — that was issued early Friday.
Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling because roads may still be slippery or snow covered in some areas.
A travel ban is in effect for Cayuga County, according to Sheriff David Gould.
The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office has closed county roads except for essential travel. Travel is restricted to emergency personnel and other performing activities to save lives, prevent injury or protect property.
Roads are limited to travel by citizens to and from work and that are necessary for health and safety.
In addition to the travel ban, Cayuga County Legislature Chairman Patrick Mahunik has directed all non-essential county services be closed and all non-essential county employees not to report to work today due to the weather and road conditions.
