Six new minors have been added to the course offerings of Wells College, the school announced Tuesday.

The recently-added programs include business, criminal justice, graphic design, environmental science, sustainability and sustainable food systems. The list was approved by the Wells faculty at a meeting earlier this month.

With the addition of the new fields of study, the college now offers 44 minors to its more than 500 students. Each program offers unique opportunities to enhance education in these fields and improve a variety of skill sets.

"By adding minor offerings in these areas, Wells is responding to her students' interests and directions for their professional lives," Cindy Speaker, provost and dean of the college, said in a news release. "And with an increasing need for professionals who are knowledgeable and skilled in more than one area, we are committed to giving our students additional opportunities for cohesive educational programs."

The new offerings are available to students immediately. For more information, call (315) 364-3460 or visit wells.edu/academics.
