The Tea Bag idiots complain taxes are too high. Bull –- taxes are too low on corporations. More than two-thirds of corporations don’t pay a penny in tax, owing to 101 neo-con loopholes. Of the 33 percent that pay taxes, only 2 percent pay 11 percent in taxes.

The Tea Bag nuts complain about entitlements and social welfare programs, yet they support welfare for the wealthy. Under the neo-cons, multi-billionaire George Steinbrenner received $468 million of taxpayers money from Bush and the neo-cons.

If you want to cut entitlements, cut welfare for the wealthy. Make corporations pay their fair share of the taxes. Stop giving tax money to corporations to outsource jobs to China. They support neo-cons, they support welfare for the wealthy and paying corporations to outsource jobs to China.

The Citizen is breaking its own rules by printing this letter using words like "idiot" to describe Tea Party members.

Now there's an unbiased opinion. Maybe we will slow down on sending jobs to China, let's give India a chance.

The idea of having the rich pay more is fine. But as far as corporations go, they are not like people. Even when a corporation is taxed it just adds the amount onto the price of its product. In effect, the company collects the tax from its customers _ you and me _ and passes it along to the government, plus a charge for its trouble.

And at what point do they price their product out of competition? Perfect example of why corporations go offshore. Oh yes, then tax them 34% if they want to invest back home. Let's see, invest here and pay 34% in taxes, or offshore with cheaper labor and 5& taxes. I have no idea why they wouldn't do it here. But let's raise their taxes to get them back.

At what point is enough enough? Or their fair share? The only fair system is a consumption tax and that will never happen because the average tax payer loves his/her deductions or exemptions, all while saying everyone else does not pay their fair share.

Raising taxes on companies will only drive more off shore and even worse cut all ties to the US and then who do we tax? You and Me?

Corporations are the same as persons when it suits their interests, and not when it doesn't. Natural human persons are afforded such flexibility. The underlying problem is the perversion of the Constitution called "corporate personhood." Take that back (never should have been given) and you solve 9 ouut of 10 of the problems in our country today.

Gonesouth writes the only fair system is a consumption tax. Well, we have one in the sales tax. What else are you suggesting? A European-style VAT? An income tax that deducts investments and savings? An individual tax on all expenditures such as a consumed income tax?

Raise the sales taxes and eliminate the income tax. That way people will pay a fair shre. Spend more pay more. This would also force govt to balance a budget.
