• EMS: 122 (9 cardiac, 19 trauma, 2 overdoses, 1 narcan, 5 medical administration accidental)

• Motor vehicle accidents: 7 (3 with injuries, 1 car/pedestrian, 3 hazards only)

• Fires: 1 (1 outside fires)

• Smoke odor condition: 2 (2 smoke detector activation)

• False alarm: 5 (1 accidental, 4 malfunction)

• Investigations: 6 (2 service calls, 4 good intent)

• Hazardous condition:1( 1 gas odor/leak)

• Special detail: 19 (Hydrants, Healthy Neighborhoods, 1 regional RIT training)

• Fire safety inspections: 13

• Carbon monoxide incident: 1 (with illness)

• AFD personnel took part in 295 hours of documented training this week:  10 hours of apparatus driving, operations and maintenance; 13 hours of in-service inspections; 49 hours of personal safety and protection; 60 hours of tools and equipment; 19 hours of detection, notification and suppression systems; 15 hours of disaster and master planning; 14 hours of tactics, strategies and call critiques.

• Fire preventions/safety tours at Station 1.

• Officers attending building safety inspectors course.

• 2 new probationary firefighters started state EMT training at New York State Fire Academy and onsite company training.

• AFD had site visit by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and was approved to become a VA apprenticeship program facility.

• All shifts and companies out doing hydrant flow testing and maintenance.

• Companies out doing Healthy Neighborhoods inspections.

• AFD personnel taught classes in Cayuga County, at the New York State Fire Academy and across the state.
