• Motor vehicle accidents: 3 (1 with injuries, 1 car/pedestrian, 1 hazards only)

• Fires: 10 (1 structure fire, 1 vehicle fire, 6 outside fires, 2 dumpster fires)

• Smoke odor condition: 3 (1 smoke detector activation)

• False alarm: 3 (2 accidental, 1 malfunction)

• Investigations: 7 (2 service calls, 5 good intent)

• Hazardous Condition:5 (2 gas odor/leak)

• Technical rescue: 1 (1 elevator)

• Mutual aid: 1 (1 received from Owasco Ambulance)

• Special detail: 32 (hydrants, Healthy Neighborhoods)

• Fire safety inspections: 11

• Carbon monoxide incident: 4 (no illness)

• AFD personnel took part in 74 hours of documented training this week:  10 hours of apparatus driving, operations and maintenance; 14 hours of in-service inspections; 7 hours of personal safety and protection, 44 hours of fire streams and hydraulics, 6 hours of fire prevention

• Fire prevention/safety tours at Station 1

• Officers attending Building Safety Inspectors Course

• 2 new probationary firefighters started state EMT training at New York State Fire Academy

• 1 member attended hazardous materials technician level training at New York State Fire Academy

• All shifts and companies out doing hydrant flow testing and maintenance

• AFD personnel taught classes in Cayuga County, at the New York State Fire Academy and across the state.
