• Motor vehicle accidents: 2 (1 with injuries, 1 hazards only)

• Fires: 4 (1 structure fire, 1 vehicle fire, 2 outside fires)

• Smoke odor condition: 2 (2 smoke detector activation)

• False alarm: 3 (2 accidental, 1 malicious)

• Investigations: 6 (4 service calls, 2 good intent)

• Hazardous condition:3 (1 wires down, 2 gas odor/leak)

• Technical rescue: 1 (1 Elevator)

• Mutual aid: 1 (1 received Owasco Ambulance)

• Special detail: 25 (hydrants, Healthy Neighborhoods)

• Fire safety inspections: 33

• Carbon monoxide incident: 1 (no illness)

• AFD personnel took part in 126 hours of documented training this week:  13 hours of apparatus driving, operations and maintenance; 33 hours of in-service inspections; 23 hours of personal safety and protection; 16 hours of tools and equipment; 12 hours of ropes and knots; 10 hours of fire prevention .

• Fire prevention/safety tours at Station 1.

• Officers attending Building Safety Inspectors Course.

• 2 new probationary firefighters ongoing in-house training.

• 1 member attended Fundamentals of Grant Management course at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

• AFD personnel taught classes in Cayuga County, at the New York State Fire Academy and across the state.
