AUBURN — David Dennis Delaney Jr., age 83, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst, with his wife by his side.
David was born in Auburn on July 22, 1934, to the late David and Helen Dugan Delaney. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. David completed six years at Syracuse University and was formerly employed by Solvay Process and General Electric as an engineer. David continued with his farming career until his passing.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Delaney; children, Albert Joseph Delaney (Julia), and Michael Peter Delaney, both of Florida, Dr. Joseph William Delaney (Mary Kathleen), of New York, and Elaine Elizabeth Waldschmidt, of Pennsylvania; sisters, Linda Nettie and Denise Sanders, both of New York; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary’s Church, 15 Clark St., Auburn. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fleming.
