AUBURN — Helen R. (Gronau) Suarez, 55, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2017 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by many, loving family members and friends.

She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late William C. Gronau Jr. and Margaret McNabb Gronau, and had been a life resident. Prior to her illness, Helen had been employed for more than 30 years by TRW in Auburn. Helen enjoyed the many camping trips and numerous cookouts at her home. She also was an animal lover and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with her cockatoo, “Lilly” and favorite canine companion, “Beethoven.” She cherished and loved her beautiful family, no matter what the occasion, Helen was part of it. She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Suarez, of Auburn; as well as numerous relatives, too many to mention, including children, 32 grandchildren, nine siblings, brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was recently predeceased by her daughter, Kathy Mallicoat in June of this year, and two brothers and a sister.

As were Helen’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
