AUBURN — Joseph N. Peluso Jr., 73, died Thursday, June 29, 2017. Following a battle with cancer, Joe passed away at his home on Overbrook Drive in Auburn, with his loving wife, Deborah and family members at his side.
The son of the late Joseph Peluso Sr. and Georgianna Wood Peluso, Joe was born in Auburn on July 23, 1943. He was a graduate of Auburn’s West High School and served his country with the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a retired carpenter, having worked out of the Carpenter’s Local Union in Geneva. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially his time on the golf course.
Joe is survived by his wife, Deborah McNabb Peluso; his son, Nick Peluso and his wife, Jennifer, of South Carloina; his step-children, Melissa Emerson with Justin Dennis, of Auburn, Johanna Nye and her husband, Brian, of Moravia, and Jerry Meyer and his wife, Tammy, of Auburn; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jordan, and Brian Peluso, Alexa and Drew Nye, and Connor Meyer; his sister, Carol Ann Peluso, of Virginia; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn. Friends are invited to call on the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday prior to services at White Chapel.
