AUBURN — June E. Meehan, of Auburn, peacefully passed away on her 84th birthday surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at her home on Fitch Avenue.
Mrs. Meehan was the daughter of Theodore and Ethel Adam Bazinet and was born in Adams, Massachusetts.
She proudly served her country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and had been employed as a nurse with Auburn Community Hospital for many years.
A parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed doing crafts.
June is survived by her five daughters, Maureen (Vernon) Chandler, of Massachusetts, Colleen (Gary) Burke, Kathleen (John) Cutillo, Aileen (Garry) Sherman, all of Auburn, Pegeen (Daniel) Jackson of Tully; a son, Sean (Michele) Meehan of Georgia; grandchildren, Brian (Iliana) Chandler, Michael (Melanie) Chandler and Christopher Chandler, Meghan and Brendon Burke, James and Keeley Cutillo, Joshua, Nicholas and Ryan Sherman, Lauren and Erin Meehan and Connor Jackson; great-grandchildren, Noah, Isabella, Mason and Madelyn Chandler.
Mrs. Meehan was predeceased by her husband, Auburn Fire Captain John “Jack” Meehan.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, in White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fleming.
Friends are invited to call on the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, prior to services at White Chapel.
