HIT: To a pair of dedicated volunteers.

They wouldn't want anyone making a big deal out of it, Jerry and Don Clark have been quietly taking care of the maintenance at St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Auburn for the past 27 years. Jerry and Bob are twins who both retired in 1990 and made the church the focal point of the newfound free time.

Though the Clark brothers will be turning 90 this month, they plan to keep on doing whatever they can to help their church. As Don's wife said, "It keeps them out of trouble."

MISS: To a pair of disturbing local police reports.

On Saturday, an out-of-town man who police said was highly intoxicated allegedly fired two shots at a pizza delivery driver in downtown Auburn. And the next day, police said that a landlord-tenant dispute led to a shotgun being fired in the vicinity of an occupied home in Owasco.

No one was injured in either incident, but both of the men believed to have fired their weapons have been charged with felonies.
