On behalf of the Cayuga County Community College Foundation, I want to thank the 150 vendors that participated last month in the 44th Annual Cayuga County Community College Craft Fair, an event that was taken over this fall by the college foundation.
The foundation wants to also thank the work-study students who assisted with the event, and our coordinator, Pam Heleen. We focused many of our efforts this year on including students into the craft fair, from spinning holiday records to making sure our high-profile programs such as Nursing and TeleCom were on display.
While we are very happy with our inaugural effort at the two-day event, we know that some items, such as entertainment and multiple food vendors, were missed by our long-time attendees and we plan to review both of these issues, as we get a jump into planning for the 45th Annual Craft Fair next year. By the way, it is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1, and Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018.
Finally, we also want to thank The Citizen and Lifestyles Editor David Wilcox for covering this event before and after it was held – our vendors and foundation appreciated the coverage.
