This week of Sept. 11, 2017, has been designated by the U.S. Senate as the 10th annual “National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week.”

The direct support workforce is made up of more than 3.6 million workers in the United States with more than 100,000 of those providing support every day to New Yorkers with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all of the direct support professionals at Arc of Seneca Cayuga who are so devoted and work tirelessly to support individuals with disabilities. They are making an enormous difference every hour of every day in the communities in which they work.

Please take the time out of your busy schedule to thank a direct support professional for making a difference in your community.
